God i really have had enough of LA. Its just not a place made for exploring. Everything seems to be so far apart and inaccessible. Today i was planning to go up to Simi Valley to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, but fortunately i figured out thanks to PS that it was actually nearly 20 Km away from the train station. So i decided to stay in LA and try to find my way around. Well i dont know why i bothered. Unless i wanted to take the tourist bus or some star spotting tour, there was no oter way of getting around the sights. I couldnt be bothered with it. It was expensive and i wasnt that interested. So i had a nice sushi lunch sitting in a park and headed back to the relative easiness of Anaheim. The next time i hope to see LA is as my train leaves it on the way to San Francisco. - That in itself is another telling saga. Its going to take 11 hours (yes i said ELEVEN) hours to get from LA to SF on the train. It only took me 11.5 hours to fly here from heathrow. But it gets me out of here and thats what i want so its worth it in the end.
Off to San Diego tomorrow. Will take in Sea World (provided its not 20 miles from the train station) and hopefully get time to cross the border into mexico.
I know i keep mentioning tat i cant wait to get back to San Francisco, but its true. Im glad i got to see LA, hope that i never have to come here again and cross it off the list. San Francisco is such a nice place in comparison. Easy to get around, friendly people, nice views etc. You cant even see the hollywood sign from 99.5% of LA.
Going to the cinema tonight to see The Changling with Angelina Jolie - its a true story apparently.
Only 7 days left until its time to go back to Ireland. Then off to Oz and New Zealand at the end of the month!!!!
