Back in the land of Internet connection now. We are now in Mission Beach and im going Sky Diving in a few hours. So hungover today, but more on that later!!
After Rockhampton and the Rodeo, we moved onto Airlie Beach for 2 nights. Its the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands. Its also where i got my Tattoo. I went for it and its cool. Its the Kanji symbol for mother, so its a permenant tribe to her of sorts. I go through days on this trip where i really have been thinking of her alot, which is good as this is the first prolonged period of time since her death that i have had time off work to focus on me and my thoughts i guess.
Anyways, back to Airlie. Lovely little place. Lots of celebrities live there. The Islands are beautiful. We went out on a yacht, the Maxi Ragimuffin. It was so so so lovely. We sailed out for about 3 hours to Whitehaven beach on Whitsunday Island itself. Beautiful 98% silica sand beach. it was like walking on velvet. So beautiful!!!! We ate lunch and swam and sunbathed!!! heaven. 4 days before christmas and i am in paradise!!!
We sailed back in and went out to the sailing club for dinner which was nice and went for a few drinks afterwards which was cool.
On Monday we moved on to Mission Beach. Bit of a long drive, but cool. I was booked in for a skydive but the weather turned bad so it was cancelled. It has now been rearranged for this afternoon. I was meant to be whitewater rafting today, but as i went out and got hideously drunk last night i couldnt face it.
We had a christmas party night in Mission beach. We all dressed up a bit in silly hats and got ve drunk and danced and generally made tits of ourselves. When we returned to the hostel around midnight some of jumped straight in the pool and messed around for an hour or so. The day before the day before christmas eve, and im swiming after midnight in an outdoor pool in tropical paradise.
Heaven.
Im not sure if i can stay on this trip, but i so want to now. Will know today!!!
If i dont survive the skydive then i love you all!!!
