Byron Bay, the story so far

Byron Bay has to be one of the coolest places on earth. It sits just on the most Easterly point of Australia, has beautiful beaches, really cool laid back vibe to it. i love it and want to live here.

We arrived around lunch time, and signed up to go Dolphin Watching tomorrow morning. Then we headed to Cap Byron, the most Easterly Point. From there i went hangliding. It was so so so so so amazing. i loved it. We were flying around over the easterly point and the beaches for nearly 30 minutes. i got some great pictures and a video which i will put on facebook. to say it was amazing doesn't actually do it justice. It was literally breathtaking.

The Weather is so nice here now. Lovely and hot. Perfect for all the activities we are going doing like sailing in the Whitsunday Islands and Snorkeling. Found out today that on Christmas Day we are going to the Great Barrier Reef so that will be pretty amazing

I have also just found the best deal ever on a Hotel in Auckland for 2 nights from boxing Day. I booked the Langham Hotel Auckland, 5 star for (wait for it) - 65 pound sterling per night, including breakfast!!! its well plush. A little bit of luxury for me before i head off on my New Zealand Trip!!! Sorry YHA, but it beats the YHA any day. its so cheap it would be rude not to book it. There is one in London and its well nice.

Will update more from Byron tomorrow, and tomorrow night we move on the Port Brisbane, from where we sail to Moreton Island the following morning. It has the worlds biggest sand dune apparently, and we get to sand surf down it (or one like it, I'm not quite sure)
