The end of Surf Camp and return to Sydney

Back in Sydney again after finishing up at Surf Camp yesterday (Thursday). The last day was the early start, 6.30am surf. My god but i wasn't in good form for it. It was cold, raining and getting into a wetsuit at 6am is not my idea of fun. After stomping down to the beach,doing our warm up exercises (which didn't warm me up) we eventually hit the sea. Joy of joys, it was like stepping into a nice warm bath. Pleasantly warm. So we surfed for a couple of hours, and it was pretty cool. Really glad i did it. Hard to believe that we were back in camp by 9am and tucking into breakfast - i was literally starving!!! After a short power nap, we were back at it again with some surf tips from the pro's and then our final hour of surfing. Managed to catch some waves and kind of felt i had the hang of it by the end of it.

After Lunch, we packed up, got our Surf Camp T Shirts and headed for the bus back to Sydney. We stopped in Gerringong for ice cream, and money so we could buy our photos of the week. - see Facebook for those. Will put them on picasa soon. Then it was back to Sydney, arriving around 7pm. Beer and Pizza in SCU Bar were cool. Checked into the hostel and then went back to SCU bar to get drunk with the gang. Some of the guys were going on to Byron Bay as part of Surf Camp,with a 12 hour overnight bus trip. But the majority of us stayed and got a it drunk!! it was a good laugh.

Decided this morning that i have had enough of hostels for a while. Needed my own space for a few nights before i join the Sydney to Cairns Trip on Sunday, so i booked into a hotel for 2 nights. Its like heaven. Pillows (plural!!) and a bath, and a king size bed!!!! and hair conditioner!!!! As its pouring down with rain today in Sydney, its perfect. I can just chill out and watch telly and relax in peace and quiet.

Tomorrow is supposed to be over 30 degrees again, so its just today that's crap!!

As i said, i join the trip to cairns on Sunday so will have more to write about then.
