Melbourne has been cool. So nice to chill out here over the last week. Caught up with Thomas and Roisin again, got very drunk one night - stayed up until 9.30am, good times. Took a day to recover from that. Went on the neighbours tour which was fun and went to the Australian Open Tennis today, which was baking hot but good fun!!! Watched a 16 year old Auzzie guy beat an Italian in 4 sets, over 3 hours in temperatures over 35 degrees. good times.
And today i decided that i cant afford to carry on travelling for another 6 weeks. My original trip was meant to end on Wednesday anyways, and because i stayed on here in Oz, i basically have decided to return to the UK as planned on Wednesday and cancel the New Zealand part of the trip.
Yes i will loose money on it, but it doesn't make financial sense to keep spending, knowing that i wont have enough to live on when i return. By returning to the UK now i aim to get my eye fixed as soon as possible and put the life changing aspects of my trip into action.
So yes I'm a little gutted that its ending, i have so loved being in Australia and the Southern Hemisphere. I cant think about how cold its going to be back in the UK. If i did i wouldn't return full stop. But all jokes aside, its the right decision, I'm happy with that and it means that i have a reason to return to this part of the world again in the hopefully not too distant future.
So i will be back in the UK from Thursday morning, I'm officially homeless in the UK so any couches or spare rooms will be much appreciated!!!!
