Arches National Park, Momument Valley and onto the Grand Canyon

Well its been a couple of days since i was last able to log on!!! alot has happened!!!

We have now moved on from MOAB and i am writing this in a hotel near the grand canyon. Since my last post we went to Arches National Park, Momument Valley and saw a bit of the Grand Canyon today. Arches was amazing. Real arches cut outof the rocks. We hiked for an hour to see delicate archand it was amazing. pictures are all on facebook. In the evening time a few of us did the hummer tour at sunset, going over the petrified sand dunes, it was well cool. Got some get sunset pictures.

Momument Valley took my breath away. We did a jeep tour with a Navajo native who took us on a huge tour of the park, taking in alot of off the beaten track sights. We had a Navajo Taco in the shadow of one of the giant rock formations, and continued on. We laid down on the ground in cave like place and he placed us traditional flute music, it was amazing. We saw the sun set across the valley, truly awe inspiring. one of the highlights of the trip for me definitely. again the pitcures are all on facebook.

Today we moved onto Grand Canyon. walked for about an hour or so along the south rim today, and doing the helicopter tour tomorrow. Its beautiful, but somehow not as awe inspiring as i had expected. Its certainly vast. will update more on it after tomorrow.

since i last blogged, i have moved rooms in the group. So i no longer share with Gordon - see last post for vague details. I am now sharing with the tour leader Tom and its great. No tension and i can really enjoy the trip again. Literally everyone on the bus has had issues with this guy. but im not going to go into it all here. Stories to tell when i meet up with you all. It really has made me realise how much i really do appreciate the friendships i have and the people that are in my life. Keep me away from the maniacs please!!!
