Bryce Canyon and Onwards to Canyonlands and Moab

Well after a couple of days rest for my dodgy ankle, i got back into the swing of things again today. Yesterday we left Zion moving onto Bryce Canyon. I didnt do the horse ride in the end as there was a bunch of screaming kids wanting to do it as well and i wasnt having any of that fr my sixty dollars. So i pottered around for the day and went for a swim and relaxed in the jacuzzi. The rest of the group went of a hike. We all caught up later for a huge cowboy style buffet. This morning we all got up before sunrise. It was minus 6 outside with wind chill of minus 15!!! we layered up and headed to inspiration point to wait for the sun to rise. It was amazing. I have posted the pictures on facebook so log on there to see for yourself!!!!

After this we returned for a huge breakfast. I ate porridge to warm myself up. Ten we hit the road, moving towards MOAB. On the way we passed through canyonlands, where we did a sunset walk. Its whee Thelma and Louise was filmed. We waked back along the rim of the canyon as it started to get really dark. Well Cool. We are now in MOAB for 2 nights. MOAB is the adventure activity capital of the west of USA.

My ankle is just about recovered. I was going to go to the hospital tomorrow if it hadnt recovered but i did okay on it today thankfully. Didnt want to miss out on anything else on the trip.

The group is getting along well. I havent really mentioned them so i will now. TOM is the driver / tour guide. He is a good guy and is looking after us well. He must have the patience of a saint. DENISE is an older lady from Exeter, very nice and considerate. CATHY is from south africa, living in wiltshire. I get on well with her. JOHAN is from the north east, living in Milton Keynes, working for Red Bull Formula 1 team, i get on well with her too. BARRY is from newcastle and works for Northern Rock and is a nice guy. ALEC is from the western isles in scotland, and is a really nice guy. Graham lives on Bodmin Moor in devon and is also a very nice guy. The last on is Gordon, my room mate. What a nightmare. He is winding up the entire group. Think of a middle aged man who behaves similarly to a child in playschool. unreal. But its quite funny for the group to see his antics. We all just let it wash over us now, though a flare up is probably only just around the corner.

So all in all thats the breakdown of the group. i could say alot more but i wont for now. Ask me when you next see me!!! sme priceless moments to be shared thats for sure!!!!

All the best for now

me
