Well its been a fun few days. fter spending wednesday and thursday in San Francisco, i jumped on the train(then a bus) to San Jose and onto Santa Cruto meet up with Emma and Karen. We stayed in a cute little seaside motel, and ad a ball. We went for dinner at a restaurant called VIDA and had a nice meal, lots of wine!! then we got accosted by the waitress with attitude - we called her Jana, who demanded more of a tip!!! needless to say after 3 bottles of wine she didnt get it!!
4 French Martinis later in a different bar and we were well pissed. On the way back to the motel we wandered don to the beach and rolled around in the sand for a while!!! seemed like a good idea at the time!!!! Karen lost her camera, Emma and I lost our dignity!!! fun times!!!
Serious hangovers the morning after!!! Eventually moved on from Santa Cruz, driving up the coast road to San Francisco. Beautiful Scenery!!!! Moved on past San Fran over the golden gate bridge, up to Marin headlands. We were peckish so had some french fries and soda (very american). On the VERY windy road on the way back, i felt very very ill and at the most inopportune moment on the road, i had to be sick out the window of the car. Not my finest hour but hillariously funny afterwards!!! thank god for wet wipes!!!!
Made it back to San Fran, checked into my hotel for the start of the tour!!! Emma and Karen are only a few blocks away in a very funky hotel with loads of art on the wall!! Pictures will be on facebook!!!
Joined the tour, kind of only really got to see them all this morning and they look to be a great bunch!! Today we drove around San Fran, had a morning strolling in Muir woods and now im back at the hotel updating my blog!!!
Off to Yosemite tomorrow morning so the trek begins proper then!!!
All good fun so far !!!
may be a few days before i get back to civilisation to update again but watch this space
