It finally came, my last full day in San Francisco, and indeed the last full day of my US trip. I had a really cool chill out day, just wandering around all the bit i may have missed and generally enjoying the sunshine again after yesterdays fog. I walked the Haight Ashbury district, which runs from the end of Golden Gate Park and is really hip and funky and frankly odd in places. but its cool. Wandered down to the mission and castro districts for a nosey, i get the feeling they come into their own when the sun goes down. Had a wander around the shops one last time (though i may squeeze in one more trip tomorrow before i head to the airport!!!) and then i went to the cinema to see Body of Lies with Russell Crowe and Leonardo De Caprio. It was okay, nothing overly memorable about it!!
Need to finish packing but cant be bothered. The bags weigh too much i know that much so i can fight with Aer Lingus again tomorrow evening in Heathrow!!!
All in all its been a fantastic 34 days in America. For the most part, i loved every minute of it. Even the days when Gordon was driving us all insane!!! I'm sorry to be leaving, even though i know i have Australia and New Zealand to look forward to. I know i will have fun there and it will be amazing too, but a part of me has always wanted to spend more time in America and nearly 5 weeks just isn't enough for me I'm afraid!!
I'm sure by the time i get over my jet lag and have readjusted to being back in Ireland with its November weather and all that entails, it will be time for me to head off again!!!
