Billy's Ireland Update

Its been nearly a week now since i returned to Ireland, and its been a pretty hectic few days!!
I'm in Belfast now, typing this, having done a whistlestop tour of Ireland since last Friday.

Wednesday and Thursday last week were written off to sleep (slept all day, awake half the night. its my new mantra!!) Friday i went to Kilaloo to visit Olivia and Andrew. had a nice meal and a few cheeky vimtos there. Was lovely to see them again, its been over a year, if not a year and a half since i last caught up with them.

Saturday we watched Sex and the City, the movie, on DVD as i had been awake since 4.30am and was no use for anything else. Then i went to visit Emma and went out in Limerick with her, Geraldine and Karen. Lovely meal, lots of drinks. Lots and Lots of drinks. Didn't go to bed until 5am (was kind of testing a new reverse phsycology sleep pattern but it didn't really work out). Frealy conicidence happened. i met up with Janine and Nichola (and Ashling and Fiona) who i used to share a flat in Limerick with 10 years ago. They both live in the Uk. I havent seen them since we all left Limerick 10 years ago, and we all happened to be in Limerick on the same night. I havent been out in Limerick more than once in the last 10 years, so well freaky concidence Was really lovely to see them all again.

On Sunday, i took the train to Dublin to meet Laura. Died a death on Sunday night and conked out , thinking i would sleep for a week, only to wake up at 5.30am again. So was pretty wiped out again. We went to meet up with David at the Dundrum Shopping Centre and from there we went down to Greystones for a bite to eat. A bite to eat turned into a lovely meal, and rather alot of alcohol. Met up with Colette also, which was really lovely as i hadnt seen them since the wedding last year. We never made it back to Dublin, instead ending up sleeping on the couches and literally dying today!! there was more vomit involved - though thankfully no moving cars this time.

Got the bus to Belfast this afternoon and have more or less just arrived now. Get to see Alfie soon and catch up on all my post. Going for a bite to eat with Rachel and Ryan soon.

Its been really lovely catching up with friends, i know I'm bad at it!!! i have had a lovely few days, but I'm a little bit on the wrong side of tired now!!!

So that's my little Irish update so far. Will be back down home in the next day or so for my mums anniversary on Friday. And then its off to good old sunny OZ. Surf School awaits!!!!!
