Darwin to Alice Springs

Alot has happened in the last week. Moved on from Darwin after the hangovers recovered. Went to Kakadu National Park, which was beautiful. Stayed in bush tent type things which had a tarpaulin type roof and tin walls with little holes in!! All quite funky. We did a cruise along the yellow water Billabong, and also a jumping croc cruise where they fed the crocodiles. The scenery and the wildlife are amazing up here. It really is tropical weather though. High humidity and lots of bursts of rain. The Monsoon season is coming!!

From there we headed south again, down to Katherine again for one night and then on to Wauchope, a one house / pub / hotel town in the middle of nowhere. We watched the sun set on the devils marbles from there and it was well cool. The hotel was actually well cool. We practised synchronised swimming in the pool. Good times!!!!

From Wauchope we headed for Alice Springs. The Centre of Australia. Beneath the tropic of Capricorn again, its less humid and quite pleasant heat. We spend a few days here and then we head to explore Uluru and Kings Canyon. The tour ends next Monday and i don't want it to!!! its been such fun, a great bunch of people. a Great Tour leader and fun times!!!! New Zealand has a lot to live up to!!!!
