Spent yesterday (well most of it) in Litchfield National Park. Wow, what a cool place. After days of Outback it was so refreshing to see lush green scenery, waterfalls, rivers. I loved it. We swam in rock pools, swam in waterfalls, generally had a blast. Just what we needed after 4 long driving days in the van!!
On to Darwin late in the evening. I had the best New Years Eve night out ever. I have never sweated so much, danced so much, and quiet possible never drank so much. It was such a fun night out. We watched the fireworks at 9pm (for the kids - its what they do over here) and then had a quick bit to eat before hitting the pub. There was live music, DJ, lots of alcohol and such a good atmosphere. I loved it. So definitely made the right decison to stay in Australia for New Year and Not New Zealand with a bunch of strangers i would only have met 2 days ago.
Didnt get to bed untill 4am. Slept until 2pm (well off and on slept) and am generally dying right now!!!!
