The Grand Canyon

You have all hear about the grand canyon. and it is indeed grand. Vast in fact. but somehow a bit of a disappointment. Compared to all the other national parks we have been to on this trip, it is the busiest, but also the least well catered for in terms of actually doing stuff apart from short walks or paved hikes. there are a few hikes that go down into the canyon, but the problem is getting back up!!! Still, that aside it is beautiful. Sunday was a bit of a lazy day. Got up to leave the hotel for 10, went for a 2.5mile walk along the rim of the canyon, had some lunhc, lazed in the sun for a hour, went to do a helicopter tour which was amazing and then moved onto Williams, a small town located on route 66.



Went out for a nice dinner with the guys in the group last night and had a few drinks afterwards so that was all very enjoyable. Tomorrow we head for Laughlin (nevada) and the day after its onto LA as the trip nears its end.
